Marketing Student Assistant
Job Summary
The Student Health and Wellness Center (SHAW) Marketing Student Assistant will assist the Marketing Specialist with day-to-day duties in coordination with the strategic marketing plan.
Essential Functions of the Job
- Report to the SHAW Marketing Specialist
- Maintain thorough understanding of SHAW’s and UWM’s Brand Standards & Guidelines
- Assist in the creation of printed and digital media through content creation programs
- Work in conjunction with the Marketing Specialist at tabling events
- Generate ideas and collect content for unique and engaging social media posts
- Make suggestions for creative marketing campaigns
- Assist in data collection, analysis, and other forms of market research
Qualifications
- Must be at least a part-time student at UWM
- Be available to work up to 12 hours per week; for 31 weeks during the school year
- Maintain regularly scheduled weekly office hours, but be readily available to work varying hours including nights and weekends as social media accounts need attention
- A basic knowledge and interest in the marketing field, bonus if there is an interest in public health marketing
- Knowledge of content creation applications (ie., Canva, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, etc.)
- Must be an outgoing, organized, self-motivated, communicative individual who is comfortable stepping out of comfort zones
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Ability to life 40 lbs
Hours/Scheduling
- Approximate hours per week: 10-14

- On-site at the Student Health and Wellness Center

Starting Pay - $14.00/hour
