Software Developer Intern

At Centren Health, ownership is everything. You won’t just “pick up tasks”, you will own what you build, end-to-end: from architecture to debugging to reasoning through problems that don’t have obvious solutions. We move fast, we build ambitiously, and everything you ship goes into the hands of real clinicians and patients.

We don’t hire based on majors or fancy credentials. You may come from CS, biology, finance, philosophy — it doesn’t matter. What matters is skill, curiosity, and drive.

Minimum Requirements

• You must be strong in at least a few of these:
• Proficiency in Python or C++, with the willingness to learn the other.
• Experience with data handling / parsing / processing at any scale.
• Ability to write clean, readable, maintainable code.
• Strength in at least one modern JavaScript/TypeScript framework (React, Next.js, Vue, Svelte, etc.).
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-ownership startup environment.
• Curiosity. Hunger to figure things out. Willingness to learn quickly and independently.

Your background can be non-CS. Your skill cannot be.

What You Will Do

• Own problems, not just tickets.
• Architect features from scratch and implement them across the stack.
• Work directly with founders and senior engineers (no middle layers).
• Build systems that do real work for real patients and clinicians.
• Communicate clearly, take feedback fast, and iterate even faster.
• Your speed will reflect your skill. If you solve something in 20 minutes or 20 hours, both outcomes speak loudly.
