Job Description
This graduate or doctoral student only) position within the Accessibility Resource Center is responsible for providing a high level of customer service to faculty, staff, and students in a community space for students with disabilities.
ARC's Student Hub and Sensory Spaces is a community space for students with disabilities, however, all UWM faculty, staff, and students are welcome.
Applicants that identify as disabled and/or have experience with the disabled community, exhibit a high degree of integrity and reliability, and are pursuing an advanced degree within the following areas of study are encouraged to apply:

Essential Job Duties
- Independently lead Academic Empowerment Sessions
- Support disabled students in learning new skills related to notetaking, time management, study habits, and organization
- Open and close the Student Hub and Sensory Spaces daily
- Greet and assist visitors with a warm, professional attitude
- Keep the Hub organized, clean, and fully stocked
- Sanitize surfaces and monitor supplies; report when items need replacement
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold ARC’s values of respect and inclusion
- Maintain a positive attitude while working with faculty, staff, and students.
Qualifications & Education Requirements
- Must be a current UWM graduate or doctoral student
- Possess and maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills and superior customer service, often under stressful conditions
- Reliable, proactive, and comfortable working independently
- Experience with or connection to the disability community is strongly preferred
