Dining and Retail Services - Residential Catering Staff (Spring 2026)

 

20|20 Catering is looking for Student Caterers to grow our team!!

 

JOB SUMMARY   

UWM Catering is hiring student Catering Staff for flexible on-campus positions, to provide excellent customer service and food service to UWM Catering clientele. No experience is necessary. The Catering Staff Member is expected to perform all duties listed in this job description and adhere to the policies and procedures outlined in their training. 

 

HOURS: 

Must be available to work at least 2 days/week starting at 6:00 AM 

Must have night and weekend availability 

Required Weekend availability: Saturday PMs must be able to stay until 11:00 PM 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 

Assist with all phases of food preparation and presentation  

Provide excellent customer service to ensure client and guest satisfaction, and event success  

Set up and break down event spaces  

Transport food and equipment to and from events  

Maintain and refill buffet stations as needed to ensure required service flow  

Operate registers and handle card transactions  

Work concessions when required for events  

Wash dishes  

Other catering duties as assigned 

 

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS  

Currently enrolled UWM student  

Reliable, responsible, and punctual  

Willing to learn and follow instructions  

Able to work independently or as part of a team  

Able to easily adapt to unexpected event changes (size, venue, menu, etc.)  

Available to work weekend shifts · 

Able to work quickly and accurately while maintaining a pleasant attitude  

Able to move efficiently in kitchen environments and event spaces 

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS 

Stand and walk continuously for a minimum of 4 hours  

Lift up to 40 lbs. repeatedly, including reaching outward, upward, and sideways  

Utilize kitchen tools safely, and carry pans and trays of food
