Department Assistant - Student Lead
This position requires a trustworthy and dedicated team member to support Transportation Services and the Campus community on weekends and work with limited supervision. The goal of this position is to monitor parking facilities on campus, report any damage or suspicious activity, and to support campus wide initiatives by staffing events, or assisting visitors. This position will also assist with garage/surface lot maintenance as well as enforcement (issue citations) to violators on campus when additional coverage is needed.
*Valid Drivers License required*
Essential Functions of the Job:
Observe and maintain parking facilities through various modes (review camera footage, drive around facilities, enforce parking violations, light custodial work, support campus wide initiatives Work independently on weekends with limited direct supervision.
Qualifications:
- Valid Driver’s License
- Reliability for weekend/evening coverage
- Ability to work independently
- The strongest qualifications for this role would be:
- Any custodial, facilities, maintenance, warehouse, or campus job experience
- Customer service experience
- Leadership or “student lead” experience
- Dependability and time management
Ability to work evenings/weekends consistently
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
-Cleaning, lifting debris removal
-Driving Fleet Vehicles
-Working inside an office, and outside in all elements/weather
