Milwaukee Repertory Theatre- Education & Engagement Intern
Position Duties/Responsibilities:
The Education & Engagement Intern will play a critical role in facilitating programming in our brand new state-of-the-art facility. Working closely with full-time and part-time Milwaukee Rep staff, the intern will carry out administrative tasks, assist with maintaining the building space, and engage directly with program participants in and out of the classroom. This is a seasonal position working between 8 and 12 hours per week from mid-October through mid-May. Most weekday hours are in the late afternoon and evening, but occasional daytime hours may be necessary for meetings, trainings, etc. Weekend hours are generally in the morning or early afternoon. Scheduling is flexible around a candidate's class schedule.
Major Duties and Responsibilities Include:
• Serve as a classroom assistant in courses, workshops, and events for both youth and adults.
• Assist with the development, adaptation, and implementation of curriculum for workshops and classes.
• Provide excellent front-facing customer service (Welcoming program participants, answering program questions in-person and via phone or email, etc.)
• Support the administration duties of the E&E Center including data collection, communication, and note-taking
• Assist in preparing and striking E&E Center spaces before and after programming (unlocking doors, lights, posting signage, gathering supplies, table/chair setup, receive food deliveries, restocking, etc.)
