Junior Achievement of WI-Volunteer Recruitment Intern

Position Duties/Responsibilities:

The internship role will require a self-starter and motivation to deliver against predetermined

volunteer recruitment objectives.

*Ability to motivate and inspire others to volunteer for JA

*Conduct outreach and marketing to recruit JA volunteers from UWM, including students,

staff, and administration.

*Develop and execute contacts through social media, events, and attending campus events.

*Specifically target UWM staff, clubs, faith communities, and other UWM based

organizations.

*Participate in UWM community volunteer fairs and similar activities.

*Serve as a JA Experiential Learning Center BizTown and Finance Park volunteer as needed

(preferred).

*Support JA events when needed. (preferred).

 

Required/Preferred Qualifications:

• Verbal communications

• Public presentation

• Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

• Detail orientated

• Self-motivate to achieve success

• Strong written communications

• Ability to work independently

• Ability to work within a team

• Customer service skills

Students will gain experience in developing business relationships across a

variety of professional groups including students, staff, administrators, and

educators.

Student employee will be able to provide evidence in civic engagement

through an association with a non-profit education organization

 

Leadership

Student employee will have the responsibility to lead the recruitment and

development of JA volunteers throughout the UWM community.
