College Possible-College Access Intern
Position Duties/Responsibilities:
Support with event planning, including periodic college campus visits, field trips, and student celebrations
• Collect and monitor RSVPs for events
• Support External Relations and Program Team on event logistics
• Coordinate transportation and chaperones
• Lead event communications for related parties
Support student-facing communications and planning for corporate and community engagement activities
• Draft templates and messaging for Advising Specialists to use in outreach and promotion of info sessions, scholarship launches, student
events, etc.
Deliver in-person and/or virtual college access coaching sessions to high school students enrolled in College Possible based on coaching
curriculum and student needs
Participate on the External Relations Workgroup
• Creation and curation of monthly newsletter content
• Social media involvement throughout the year
• Photos, video, and session visits
• Collect and curate a bank of scholar stories and highlights
• Presentations at All Team Meetings, as needed
Scholarship management
• Maintaining and updating a scholarship database with deadline/important date and guidelines tracking
• Monitoring changes in scholarship protocol or requirements
• Supporting Advising Specialists with record keeping for scholarship s awarded as needed
Additional duties, as needed
Candidate will determine a set, consistent week-to-week schedule for the semester with their supervisor at the start of their internship. Will
reassess upon the start of each semester, if applicable.
Candidate can expect a brief orientation once they start to become oriented to College Possible’s staff, programming, and capacity needs.
Seeking candidates studying or with experience in marketing/communications, nonprofit management, public sector/service, or higher education.
Interns will gain skills in each/any of the below competencies.
