Graphic Designer - Union Marketing

Job Summary

This position works to conceptualize, create and produce marketing materials within an agency setting. Working with a team of professional and student staff to handle project timelines using our content management system. 

Essential Functions of the Job

  • Design marketing materials for print and digital collateral. 
  • Correspond and meet with clients so designs are completed to their needs while adhering to Union Marketing’s timeline.
  • Prepare files for print and oversee/assist with printing and deployment. 
  • Work with other disciplines inside Union Marketing to complete orders.
  • Manage timelines and multiple projects.

Qualifications (Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Ability to read and follow directions, work under deadlines, and manage time effectively.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of basic layout skills, design principles, typography and illustration.
  • Basic understanding of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Acrobat).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Teams, Word and Outlook).
  • Ability to create materials that adhere to design guidelines and standards.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift 20 pounds
  • Able to work at a computer for up to 8 hours

Working Conditions & Environmental Factors

  • Sitting for long periods of time. 

Hours/Scheduling

  • Approximate hours per week: 10-25
  • Part-Time, Temporary
  • Academic year, with potential for working over breaks depending on volume.
