Standardized Patient
The Standardized Patient (SP) is a temporary position. Standardized Patients (SP) are actors who portray a patient case or scenario in preset time constraints during a clinical encounter with the Clinical Nutrition (CN) student. This job is for one day only (9/29/26).
Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Interact with examinees.
- Provide appropriate feedback to examinees and the Clinical Nutrition Program.
- Follow all written and oral directions provided by the Clinical Nutrition Program.
- Remain in character during the encounter and recall and portray patient-specific details of the case
- Maintain confidentiality, integrity of exam materials, and exam procedures.
- Maintain a professional and pleasant atmosphere to create an environment for optimal test performance for all examinees.
Ability to fulfill the role requirements of assigned patient simulations and portray case-specific characteristics in support of student learning outcomes.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Prior work experience.
- Standardized Patients (SP) must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.

Work Environment/Work Week/Travel:
Work is primarily performed in a classroom or individual exam room setting. Work is performed during standard business hours as well as evenings and Saturdays, according to exam schedule.
Pay:
$25.00 per hour.
