Food and Feed Systems Analyst

This position exists to provide division-wide leadership, coordination, and operational oversight for the Food and Feed Safety Division’s (FFSD) electronic systems, business processes, and operational data. The incumbent serves as FFSD’s primary functional expert for system documentation, workflow mapping, requirements development, communications, issue management,
and user acceptance testing across multiple platforms, including Salesforce, USA Food Safety (USAFS), Licensing Information System (LIS), SharePoint, MasterControl, Replicon and other supporting systems. The position ensures that FFSD workflows, business rules, system requirements, and operational documentation are accurately captured, consistently maintained, and readily
available for use by program staff, MNIT, and system vendors. A major purpose of the role is to translate operational program needs into clear system-level requirements and communicate system updates, issues, and impacts to staff and leadership. The incumbent also conducts operational data analysis, identifies cross-system data discrepancies, and partners with staff to develop and coordinate corrective actions and reporting tools, improving the accuracy and reliability of FFSD’s program data. Operating with substantial independence, the position supports long-term system planning, continuity, and stability, ensuring that electronic systems continue to meet the division’s regulatory responsibilities, operational needs, and quality management goals.
