Web Application Development Intern

The web application development intern is expected to assist the Office of Information Technology and Analysis web application development team with the maintenance and enhancement of custom web-based systems written in Laravel and WordPress.


Required Skills:

 

·       Working knowledge of object-oriented programming principles

·       Prior experience writing server-side code for a web-based application (ie PHP, Python, or .Net)

·       Prior experience writing JavaScript

·       Excellent written and oral communication skills, along with the proven ability to interact with other disciplines outside of engineering.

 

Preferred Skills:

 

·       Experience writing tests using PHPUnit

·       Basic familiarity with Vue.js 2.0+

·       Basic familiarity with Laravel

·       Experience using Gitlab or Github

·       Knowledge of full stack development concepts: ECMAScript 2015, REST, JSON, CSS
