Summary:

The student enforcement position’s primary responsibility is to issue parking tickets in campus controlled parking lots to vehicles parked illegally. The officer is required to search the exterior of the vehicle to guarantee that here are no permits before writing the ticket. The enforcer will use a computerized ticket writing machine.

 

Enforcement is done in all weather conditions and is performed on foot for the entire shift. Enforcement personnel work closely with the University Police for towing vehicles they discover on chronic offenders list.


Enforcement personnel also serve as security and customer relations for the campus community. The officer is to patrol the parking areas and report to the Parking Office or to the University Police any suspicious persons or problems within the parking lot such as damaged property. They are to answer questions from the University community to the best of their ability or refer the person to someone who can assist them.

 

Qualifications & Expectations:

To apply for this position, one must be enrolled for at least three credits. Applicants must be willing to abide by all FAA work rules/practices specifically outlined but not limited to the Student Employment Handbook and handbooks and/or rules outlined by your department.

 

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Ÿ Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions

Ÿ Must be able to stand for long periods of time

Ÿ Must be able to lift 50 pounds
