Tech Repair Technician

Summary:

The UWM TechRepair Technician Beginning provides computer support for TechRepair customers consisting of but not limited to end user technical support, desktop & laptop hardware support, Operating System support, software support and documentation tasks as requested by customers. This position operates under regular supervision.
 

Qualifications & Expectations:

·    Knowledge of information technology and an aptitude for acquiring technical knowledge, documenting it, and passing it along to others in the form of clear written and verbal instructions.
·    Minimum of 1 year employment experience providing computer support is required.
·    Excellent organizational skills.
·    Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, ability to interact well in a team environment, strong self-motivation, and a keen desire to help customers is required.
·    Working knowledge of the nature and behavior of computer viruses and Malware.
·    Ability to communicate equally well, in a clear and professional manner, with customers.
·    Ability to remain professional in stressful situations.
 

Job Functions:

·    Work closely with customers to schedule new and follow-up service appointments.
·    Assist in researching technical issues.
·    Assist with RMA’s, receipt of equipment, general shipping/receiving and all documentation thereof.
·    Provide direct technical support for customers as needed to ensure timely customer service and appropriate issue resolution.
·    Escalate technical support issues that cannot be resolved to ensure timely customer service and issue resolution.
·    Responsible for ensuring the security and confidentiality of customer records and information; protect against any anticipated threats or hazards to the security or integrity of such records; and protect against unauthorized access to or use of such records or information that could result in substantial harm or inconvenience to any customer.
·    Other duties as assigned.
