Web & Application Development Student Worker

Work, and learn, with the Student Affairs IT Services Web & Applications Development Team. Student Affairs IT Services helps create and maintain websites, and custom applications, for departments within the UWM Division of Student Affairs and Division of Enrollment Management. Day-to-Day responsibilities include
  • Maintain customer service tickets
  • Create webpages in Content Management System
  • Build webpages using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Create and maintain web-based applications written in AngularJS, Vue.js & PHP
  • Create and maintain website documentation
  • Fix websites based upon improvement & accessibility reports
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Motivated, self-starting, and shows initiative
  • Proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Familiarity with AngularJS or Vue.js
  • Familiarity with Laravel
  • Familiarity with Linux OS
  • Familiarity with databases
  • Familiarity with source code repositories
Approximate number of work hours per week: 40 during Summer; 20 during Fall and Spring semesters
