Student Development Representative (UWM Telefund) -- Spring 2019

SUMMARY: Do you love UWM and have Panther Black and Gold in your blood? As a part of the UWM Telefund, Student Development Representatives contact alumni, parents and friends of UWM to update information, strengthen relationships and solicit financial support for the UWM Annual Fund. 

As a Student Development Representative, you'll have the opportunity to build your resume by building and enhancing your communications, public relations, fundraising and marketing skills, and you'll get to network with alumni in various professions all across the United States. 

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Responsibilities include calling alumni, parents and friends of the University to ask for their financial support of the UWM Annual Fund;
  • Providing accurate information, making changes whenever necessary and obtain donations.
  • Gathering and updating important information about alumni; accepting and processing pledges and demographic updates in a computer-based contact management system;
  • Building relationships and gathering feedback from alumni.
  • Help keep call center clean and organized

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must exhibit enthusiasm in support of the University
  • Must be conversational and demonstrate excellent phone skills, tact, professionalism, accuracy, punctuality and the ability to follow directions as a team player.
  • Must be fluent in English and have the ability to communicate exceptionally well in person, via telephone and via email.
  • Must possess a high degree of manual dexterity, mobile and able to function in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Must be able to work at least 3 shifts per week

SCHEDULE: Must be available for 3 shifts per week during the semester (approx 10.5 hrs/wk). Now accepting applications for Spring 2019. Convenient and flexible evening and weekend, with shifts available Monday through Thursday from 5:30-9:00pmSaturday from 2-5:30pm, and Sunday from 12-3:30pm.

PAY: $8.25/hour plus bonus pay opportunities each shift and on a monthly basis, semester raises, promotion opportunities. We also host pizza nights, sub sandwich nights, bonus games, finals week parties and other ways to celebrate our success.
