Event Management Staff

About this Job
-Customer service experience required, as we work with internal (campus) and external clients.
 
- Must be adaptable to working in multiple spaces, as we manage 7 buildings and 7 performance spaces along with 2 art galleries and a variety of meeting rooms.
 
- The ability to work well under pressure and within time constraints. Problem solving skills and thinking fast are a necessity as we handle approximately 400 events and meetings a year.
 
Duties include, but are not limited to:
*Welcoming the public to performance venues and oversee their safety and well-being before, during, and immediately after the show while working closely with stage managers and other staff to ensure events run smoothly.
*Box Office includes welcome patrons during open hours and prior to performances, selling tickets and facilities contracts/rentals. Cash handling experience a plus
* Managing volunteer ushers and delegating duties when necessary.
* Lifting and moving 8 ft., 6 ft. and round tables, chairs, podiums, risers, speakers and other equipment
* Attention to detail in the appearance of a set-up and storage spaces within our buildings
*Experience with sound technology is a plus, but not required.
*Other technology skills include filling out surveys and reports in addition to communicating via text and email.
