Panther Shop Worker

SUMMER/FALL 2019 Positions
Position Summary:
This position will be expected to perform all or some of the following duties as assigned by the area supervisor.
 
Qualifications:
Must have availability between 10:00 am-4:00 pm, Monday-Friday
Previous retail experience is preferred. Ability to work quickly, accurately and maintain a pleasant disposition. Must be able to twist, lift, stretch, and move about the store and other selling environments with ease. Must be responsible and reliable. Qualified individuals are UWM students that are currently enrolled in Fall 2019 classes and are willing to learn.
 
Essential Duties:
 
CASHIERING: Greets customers and ensures that all purchases are registered and tendered correctly into the cash register. Assists customers in locating store merchandise and services. Assists in cleaning of cashier area, front of store. Ensures adequate supplies of shopping bags, refund policies and register supplies are stocked at registers. Monitors store as required for security & theft prevention. Participates in store inventory. Custodial, clerical & other duties as assigned.
 
STOCKING: Refilling product as needed, rotating products with expiration dates, checking incoming merchandise. Operation of electric pallet jack (training on site), flatbed and hand truck as needed. Assist in moving skids and cartons of merchandise to and from dock and assisting in the loading and unloading of trucks when necessary. Perform other duties assigned.
 
Additional Duties:
Assists in maintaining sales & inventory management records, monitoring of inventory levels and ordering of goods. Verifies product prices & accuracy in TCS/POS Systems. Packs & verifies any outgoing orders & returns. Maintains a clean and organized work environment. Monitors front of store as required for security and theft prevention. Participates in store inventory. Duties include: assisting in all phases of retail merchandising.
 
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift 50 lbs repeatedly, and be able to stand for long periods of time (4 hours).
