Summary:
The Innovation Intern will work in the Lubar Entrepreneurship Center (LEC) assisting the Program Manager with daily academic, programming and marketing needs. The LEC promotes entrepreneurship and innovation to all disciplines across campus to encourage and engage students in our unique programming. The Innovation Intern is an integral component to the day to day activities of the LEC that will utilize creative strategies and social media to reach faculty, staff, and students at UWM and around Milwaukee. Intern will dually report to the Director of the LEC and the Program Manager.

Qualifications & Expectations:
This position requires a candidate who can communicate effectively with LEC staff regarding program events. The position has a requirement to frequently interact with UWM faculty, staff, students and community.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Experience with PowerPoint, Microsoft Office programs, Office365 email and calendar
• Ability to conduct effective meetings and provide team leadership
• Strong attention to detail with excellent prioritization skills and time management
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Effective collaboration and relationship-building skills
• Independent and self-motivated

Hours:
• 15 - 20 hours per week
• This position will require a flexible schedule. Due the program, some late nights and weekends may be required. Intern will need to closely work with LEC staff to develop an efficient and effective schedule.
