Student Administrative Assistant

Position Title:   Student Administrative Assistant
Location:           Northwest Quad Bldg. B, 2025 E. Newport Ave., Milwaukee
Supervisor:       Campus Alcohol and Other Drug Coordinator (incumbent = Susan Cushman)
Hours/week:    Average 15 (range = 12-18), Monday through Friday, year-round. Starting June 2019.
Compensation: $8.75 -$10.75 per hour

Position Summary
This position provides administrative and clerical support for the brief intervention and outreach initiatives of the Norris Health Center Office of Health Promotion and Wellness, with primary responsibilities to the area of alcohol and other drug (AOD) prevention.
 
Essential Duties
Coordinate registration, scheduling and tracking of program participants.
Collect, organize, enter, file and compile confidential program survey data.
Communicate regularly with campus partners, students and facilitators about program participants’ completion status. 
Handle inquiries about AOD programs via phone and email.
Prepare program utilization and evaluation documents.
Reserve facilities/space.
Order, organize and prepare office supplies and training/program materials.
Support additional administrative functions within the Norris Health Center, as assigned.
 
Additional Duties
Assist with the administration of other prevention initiatives, as needed.
 
Qualifications
Minimum of 1 year of entry-level administrative support experience.
Highly organized and extremely attentive to details.
Proficient with Microsoft Office, including experience with and willingness to learn Excel.
Professionalism, particularly in communicating with students and handling confidential information.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to critically analyze information and problem solve.
