Education Coordinator, LGBTQ+ Resource Center
We are looking to add to our part-time student staff team for the spring semester. New hires need to have 7-10 hours of weekly availability during LGBTQRC office hours (Monday-Friday, 9-5).
Overview: Our work is to maintain a welcoming, inclusive and informative environment for the campus community. As student employees you are often the first point of contact for visitors.
Professionalism Expectations:
- Serve as the lead coordinator(s) and staff point person/people for trainings, workshops, curriculum development, assessment, and class projects.
- Coordinate all logistics for presentations (dates, times, content, materials, staffing, and assessment/evaluations).
- Develop, update and keep current as well as relevant, pertinent information within all educational brochures, suggest changes to and/or create additional educational pamphlets/brochures as needed.
- Decipher what materials might be best suited for digital commons, digital archives, etc.
- Establish assessment for LGBTQRC learning outcomes and programmatic outcomes. Engage in analysis of assessment for purposes of reporting (e.g. BMO Harris Bank, end of year report, etc.)
- Suggest changes to and/or create additional educational pamphlets/brochures as needed.
- Conduct research for implementing policy changes at UWM.
- Assist Communications Coordinator with tabling initiatives.
- Assist Outreach Coordinator with annual events, educational content for programming, etc.
