Student Administrative Assistant

The UWM Foundation is seeking a part-time, Student Administrative Assistant. This position is responsible for assisting the administrative department with a variety of duties such as sending gift receipts to donors, depositing check donations, drafting letters and correspondence, distributing mail, scheduling deliveries, answering the main phone line, receiving and directing visitors, assisting with office orders, running general office errands, assisting with meeting preparation/onsite set up for meetings, and other duties as assigned.   
 
The individual hired should be able to work approximately 20 hours a week during the school year. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Flexible schedule to work around classes with additional hours available during winter, summer and spring breaks. 
 
Currently, staff are staggering in the office due to COVID-19. Each employee’s remote/office time is determined with their supervisor. Employees are expected to work during office hours and be available to answer emails and calls.  
 
 
Student Administrative Assistant Qualifications
  • Student at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Organized
  • Excellent written and oral communication
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Proficient with Word and Excel.
  • Experience with PowerPoint and Photoshop and/or graphic design knowledge a plus.
