Command Center Attendant
Shift: 10:30 PM – 7:00 AM
Working out the of the Transportation Services Office, the Command Center is the core of our parking operations. Employees working this position monitor all the on-campus parking structures and outdoor lots, while offering call assistance through our parking machines. Attendants also are responsible for maintenance if machines are broken or jammed, and preventative maintenance thereof.
Other duties may include-
- Answering the in-office microphone to aid customers
- Monitoring cameras overlooking the parking structures to watch for incidents or other problems
- Updating and inputting new parking accounts as permits are purchased
- Replacing ticket boxes and receipt rolls in machines to keep them stocked
- Counting cars in the garages to keep records accurate
- Enforcing certain locations and issuing citations as necessary
- Attendants may also be required to direct traffic if garages are extremely busy, or an event is occurring on campus
