UNION - Operations Manager - Cinema

The Operations Manager works in tandem with the Cinema Programmer to help the Union Cinema present a professional and engaging film program to UWM students, campus community and general public. The Ops Manager has the important responsibility of film trafficking, making sure all films are delivered in time to be shown, and shipped out in time to get to the next venue. In addition, the Ops Manager supervises House Managers and House Staff; does scheduling of all staff, including projectionists; works with the Programmer on staff evaluations at the end of each semester; is involved with much of the hiring - in this way, gaining a lot of experience in staff management and scheduling. They also are responsible for inventory and ordering for the Union Cinema concessions stand, as well as for organizing maintenance of equipment.

This is a great job for a film or media studies student who is interested in the business side of the industry, or for a business student who loves films.
