Graduation Coordinator - Fall 2021

Position Summary: 
This position will be expected to perform all or some of the following duties as assigned by the area supervisor. Position will include both graduation coordinating and administrative office management duties. Essential duties listed below.  
 
Minimum Qualifications:  
Must have availability Monday-Friday between 9:30-4:30 and be available to work a minimum of 17 hours per week. Skill in use of word processing, spreadsheets, and email. Skill in maintaining workable office machinery. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work to meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment. Ability to be flexible and work effectively where priorities change constantly and interruptions are common. Ability to maintain excellent customer service skills as a front office contact despite frequent interruptions. Ability to interact with people of diverse backgrounds and maintain strong working relationships. Must be available to work summer and winter breaks.  
 
Preferred Qualifications:  
Knowledge of the Panther Shop organization for proper dissemination of information. Requires a considerable amount of individual initiative and excellent independent judgment. Strong written and oral communication. 
 
Essential Duties: 
Graduation Coordinator: Serves as a primary coordinator of cap and gown functions for the University. Creates and maintains all records for standing departmental robe transactions. Investigates and resolves cap and gown issues. Acts as liaison to cap and gown vendor. Provides exemplary customer service. Responsible for all graduation/Panther Shop’s social media posting. Act as the liaison to students and faculty. Responsible for disseminating information to the graduating class.   
Administrative Office Management: Develops, plans, and implements new office procedures as necessary. Orders and maintains office supplies and inventory. Answering both email and phone calls for customers as well as vendors. Other duties as assigned.
