Student Website Developer
UWM's College of Letters & Science (L&S) web and data team is seeking a motivated student with experience in the maintenance, revitalization, and/or creation of web sites, preferably using Wordpress.
Applicants MUST have experience with HTML and CSS and basic image manipulation. Experience with JavaScript, PHP, MySQL, PHP Frameworks (such as Laravel) and git versioning experience is a plus, but not required.
Applicants must be interested in projects that involve collaboration and communication with web team members, L&S administration, faculty, and academic staff. Applicants must be in good academic standing and able to work approximately 20 hours per week during fall and spring semesters and up to 40 hours per week during the summer.
Due to COVID restrictions, this position might be remote. Therefore, you must have reliable internet access during your scheduled work hours.
Our student developers commit to a custom work schedule between the hours of 8:00am and 5:00pm, Monday through Friday, with the understanding that their class schedule and education are their main priorities.
