Student Web Developer

CPaRC Student Web Developer
The Career Planning & Resource Center (CPaRC) is seeking a focused, self-motivated, team player who will support the efforts of the students, prospective students, alumni, employers, and other customers of the center through the development, design, and maintenance of the department websites. quality, timely communications. 

Primary responsibility is to ensure the cohesiveness and effectiveness of CPaRC communications, with a particular focus on the CPaRC website. 

What You Will Do:
  1. Closely monitor all aspects of the CPaRC website and update content as necessary
  2. Collaborate with CPaRC staff to research and develop new web content, including educational material, forms, videos, images, etc.
  3. Take initiative to make suggestions of ways to best communicate with and engage our audiences
  4. Serve as key point of interaction for external contacts requesting connection on CPaRC website

What Qualifications you Need:
  • Knowledge and experience with WordPress, HTML, and CSS
  • Strong English language skills and an ability to communicate effectively both electronically and verbally with internal and external staff members
  • Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, to prioritize work and meet established deadlines
  • High level of organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Creative problem solving and critical thinking skills

Compensation & Hours
  • Hourly salary rate is $11-$12/hour depending on experience
  • Expected 12-15 hours a week
