Future Alumni Network Advisor

Summary: The FAN Advisor will work in the Hefter Conference Center as an essential team member that manages the day-to-day aspects of the Future Alumni Network and helps to create events and programming that engage current students, alumni, and community members. This position will be a fully integrated member of the Alumni Relations (AR) team. This position offers a professional development opportunity that will enrich professional skills, provide connections with exceptional alumni, and provide flexibility. This position will report to the Alumni Engagement Officer and Associate Director of Alumni Relations.

· Be enrolled at UWM for the upcoming academic year.

· Demonstrate excellent communication skills and experience in providing superior customer service, occasionally under stressful conditions.

· The ideal FAN Advisor is enthusiastic, creative, and open-minded.

· FAN Advisor should have a passion for building relationships with current students, UWM alumni, and the wider community.

·  Relevant experience is helpful, Student Association, Campus Ambassadors, RAs, etc.

· Experience with PowerPoint, Microsoft Office programs, Office365 email, and calendar.

· Be willing to learn new programs like DRAGON, Millennium, and iModules.

· Ability to conduct effective meetings and provide team leadership.

· Excellent attention to detail with prioritization skills and time management.

· Comfortable navigating and executing ambiguous tasks.

· Willingness to learn, grow into this position, and take ownership over this role.
