Letters and Science Office Assistant

The College of Letters and Science Student Academic Services, located in Holton Hall, is the largest advising office on campus. We are looking for someone that will be able to carry out reception duties. The duties would consist of answering the telephone, scheduling appointments, greeting students, typing documents, and filing, along with other projects as needed.

Job Qualifications:
Excellent customer service skills, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced office environment. Must have good typing skills. Must be very detail-oriented, able to work independently, and have some computer experience/knowledge, with Word and Office 365/Student Success Collaborative/Teams and Zoom. The work hours will be Monday-Thursday 8:30 am until 4:00 pm, and Friday 8:30 until noon or as needed (We will work around your class schedule). Students must be willing to work in 4 hours or 7-hour increments.

Essential Duties:
Forwards information by receiving and distributing communications; collecting and mailing correspondence; copying information.
Maintains supplies; stocking items
Maintains office schedule
Serves students by backing-up receptionist; answering questions; forwarding messages
