Social Media Coordinator for UWM Restaurant Operations
Pay: $11.00/hr
Hours: 20-25 hours per week, days are flexible!
*must be able to work during the summer and preferably during UWinteriM (training starts at the end of Spring 2022) applications close May 1st, 2022*
As a Social Media Coordinator with Restaurant Operations, you will have the opportunity to expand and further develop our social media platforms through a marketing plan that will utilize video, pictures, storyboards, and social media platforms. As well as any other means of spreading our message in order to inform the UWM community of what we’re up to!
We are looking for someone with an eye for design who wants to increase their experience with content creation. In today’s digital world it is often hard for any content to stand out, therefore we are looking for someone who can create enjoyable and engaging content while simultaneously shining a positive light on what it is we do. This position will grant you the opportunity to get hands-on experience in the world of marketing by promoting and advertising for: sit down restaurants like the Gasthaus, fast food restaurants in the union, attending many on campus events in order to document and create media content that displays these events, and our new Anytime Dining program. Because Restaurant Operations encompasses UWM's entire dining spectrum, this position will offer a new experience every day!
Qualifications:
- Freshman or Sophomore standing (graduation date of December 2023 or later)
- Able to work at least 20 hours a week (2-4 days of the week)
- Can easily navigate and has well rounded knowledge of various social media platforms
- Is detail oriented, organized, and motivated
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiar with picture and video editing
- Has previous experience in sales, customer service, and/or administrative duties
- Pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing/Advertising, JAMS, Graphic Design, or related fields
