Customer Service Assistant
The primary goal of Customer Services Assistant position is to provide customer service, complete sales, assist in parking garage operations, and answer questions/assist customers with the services offered by the department. This position operates from within the office of Transportation Services and may require occasional field work around the UWM campus. A valid driver’s license is required.
- Perform general cashier operations.
- Perform general customer service operations for customers and colleagues in person, on the phone or Teams chat.
- Maintain proficiency in Microsoft 365 apps and parking software (Amano Pro Plus, T2Flex, etc).
- Assist with daily letters, including printing, folding, and mailing. Record the number of letters mailed in Teams letter file.
- Check intercampus mail bag and distribute mail to appropriate people, scanning and sending mail to those working remotely.
- Prepare and process payments.
- Return checks that cannot be processed. Scan and attach documents to customer accounts.
- Uphold UWM policy and FERPA in relation to sensitive information.
- Issue new or replacement U-PASS cards and benefit codes.
- Help to maintain flow of traffic inside and outside of the parking areas.
- Provide introductory information to new customers.
- Answer inquiries from customers across campus related to parking, payments, and purchasing parking permits.
- Determine the quickest, most effective ways to troubleshoot problems and answer customer’s questions.
- Keep accurate records in databases and updating customer parking accounts.
- Other tasks as assigned.
