Health and Medical Center Administrator (Paid Internship)

Overview

We are currently accepting applicants for our Health and Medical Center Administrator position for our 2024 Summer Camp staff and interns.

This is a Paid Internship. Our overnight summer camp is in Northeast Pennsylvania which is located just 2 ½ hours from New York City and Philadelphia.

Responsibilities

Our Health and Medical Center provides Trail’s End Camp with a day to day medical practice, taking care of camper and staff needs throughout the summer.

The primary function of the Health and Medical Center Administrator is to collaborate between the camp leadership team, themselves and the medical team to perform the various tasks and services that are required throughout any given day at camp. These responsibilities include but are not limited to the following.

• Managing the medical center waiting room (patient sign ins and sign outs)
• Answering phone calls from parents and communicating with other medical centers in collaboration with ours.
• Distribution of basic medications to patients
• Assessing walk-in patients and logging information to prepare the doctors for patient meetings
• Keeping track and updating of camper and staff medical files
• Developing and maintaining positive relationships among campers and peers 

Applicants must be detail oriented, have excellent organizational and communication skills, and a proven ability to work with and supervise others.

Health and Medical Center Administrators will be trained and supported by our camp directors and professional doctors who manage their own practice year round.

Students who are looking to get into the medical career field will gain invaluable experience working alongside career doctors who are willing to help train and share their advice.

Our Program

Trail’s End is an all-around camp that includes a strong Sports Program, Arts and Crafts, Digital Media, Woodworking, Watersports and Outdoor Adventure. Many special events are staples in our camp program including out of camp trips, College Day Competitions, Halloween, Special Days and our huge 5 day camp competition towards the end of camp, Olympics. 

Each summer over 300 staff members are chosen and will travel from all over the world to take part in the Trail's End Experience. As a member of our staff, you will be part of the team of people who create a positive environment for everyone that lives in our community. Salary

Trail’s End offers a competitive salary that is based on age and experience. Our staff will receive their salary in addition to a travel reimbursement. Room and Board are included.
