ICFW Research Assistant
This position will support research activities at the Institute for Child and Family Well-being (ICFW). Housed within the Helen Bader School of Social Welfare. ICFW faculty and researchers have a broad portfolio of projects related to topics such as trauma, resilience, maternal and child health, early childhood interventions, child welfare, criminal justice, and workforce development. The research assistant will assist ICFW staff with research and evaluation activities, including outreach to research participants and processing of research materials.
This position is for spring semester 2025, with the possibility of extension through the summer.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Assist with tracking and calling research participants.
- In person community outreach to research participants.
- Create and distribute survey mailing packets.
- Data entry.
- Active participation in ICFW team meetings.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Undergraduate or graduate student enrolled at least half time at UW-Milwaukee.
- Comfortability conducting recruitment phone calls and in person outreach.
- Good organizational skills and detail oriented.
- Basic computer skills such as typing in Microsoft Word and data entry in Excel.
- Ability to work independently.
- Must be reliable and able to maintain work hours throughout the semester.
