Job Description
- Starting pay is $11.50
- During the school year the dock is open from 6am-6pm Monday through Friday and from 8am-Noon on Saturday
- Each morning (about 7am) 15-20 pallets of refrigerated food, frozen and dry goods come in
- As a unit (about 4-6 guys),the pallets will get broken down and separated onto other pallets, flat beds or cage carts to be shipped out and/or sent to other areas of UWM or sent upstairs to the Sandburg café (normally done and finished between the hours of 7-10am)
- During the day we will ship out metal carts full of food for catering events. This is where we will either drive a truck similar to a U-Haul or a cargo van to transport these items to another location within the UWM system. There can be anywhere from 0 events in a day to 7 or 8 in a day.
- After the Sandburg café has fully put away all the items on the pallet that were broken down they create a lot of cardboard, this is where we come in. We separate the cardboard into recyclable and non recyclable cardboard. Once that's done we put the cardboard into a big baling machine and bails out the cardboard to be transferred somewhere else (another department picks these up for us)
- Assist with special projects as needed/assigned
- Possibility to do Data Entry
